Food

We accept donations of fresh, frozen and non-perishable foods.  We don't accept:-

  • Food that is past its ‘Use By’ or ‘Expiry’ date
  • Food in damaged or open packaging which may compromise food safety

Goods

Note - our drop off points and volunteer drivers will be back online at COVID Alert Level 1.

All items donated to KCA must be recently laundered, clean and free of rips and stains. Car seats must not be past their expiry date.   Electrical appliances must be in full working condition, and cleaned ready for us to pass on.  We do not sell anything that you donate to our charity. 

We are inundated with donations so at present are only accepting the following items.

  1.  Clothing in clean condition - new or good quality second hand in winter season as follows:-
    Girls winter clothing age 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 years old
    Boys winter clothing age 2 year old to teenagers
    Mens winter clothing in sizes XL, 2XL and 3XL
    Please be respectful and do not donate to us clothing with rips, stain, broken zips, covered in pet hair or dirt.

  2.  Towels - new or good quality second hand ones with no rips or stains.

  3. Microwaves x 2 in clean and good working condition
  4. Baby gates x 4
  5. Chest of drawers x 4 (small ones) in good working condition
  6. Cutlery - forks, knives, spoons, teaspoons
  7. Toothbrushes
  8. Empty ice cream containers with lids for food rescue.

  9. Wool and fabric for our knitting/sewing group to make into hand made items.  This can be left at Johnsonville Community Centre in the office by our donation bin.
  10. Blankets in new or good quality used condition.   

  11. Baby capsules and car seats that have not been involved in an accident.  Please check the manufacturing date that are on these items.  Most only have a 5-7 year lifespan from their manufacturing date.   Expired car seats can be recycled by the Sustainability Trust or SeatSmart (both charge a small fee) - please dispose of these yourself.
