Our Partners

Important Information for Community Groups and Charities

At KCA, our mission is to support families in need through our trusted network of charity partners. We want to kindly inform you that, at this time, we are unable to accept new applications from additional community groups or food banks.

This decision comes as our current volume of food donations exceeds the requests from our existing partner agencies. We’ve also seen a reduction in non-food item donations, likely due to the ongoing cost-of-living challenges. While we greatly appreciate the desire to support more groups, our priority is ensuring we effectively manage our resources to meet the needs of our current partners.

We also want to clarify that KCA does not directly select the families we assist, and we cannot accept requests from the general public. All requests must come through the dedicated staff and volunteers of our partner agencies, who work tirelessly to support individuals and families across the Greater Wellington region.

How Assistance Works

  • If a family meets the criteria set by our Trust, partner agencies can log into our specialized online ordering system to place an order for assistance.

  • For larger household items, we coordinate with budgeting clients who are in good standing.

  • If you have items to donate, please email us with photos, dimensions, pick-up suburb, and permission to share your details with our partner agencies. This process ensures donations are used efficiently and reach those who need them most.

Criteria for Partner Agencies

To receive goods from KCA, community groups and charities must:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to our Trust’s criteria.

  • Have a reputable track record of effectively assisting those in need.

  • Possess the necessary facilities and vehicles to collect ordered items during our opening hours.
